There are a variety of career paths available to entry level Community Corrections Officers. These include the following:

Clinical Services
Corrections Victoria offers excellent job opportunities for registered and probationary psychologists, social workers and other allied health professionals. Probationary psychologists can obtain their registration in a challenging and supportive environment.

Psychologists have the opportunity to work not only in multi-disciplinary teams at prison locations, but may also apply for opportunities in the many Community Correctional Services locations across the State. There is also a specialist team of psychologists who work specifically with sex offenders.

Registered psychologists can also apply for senior psychologist positions, which involve supervising a team of psychologists at a location, or within a region.

It is also possible to apply for secondment opportunities to project teams working on topics such as health services, prisoner program development and educational services.

Administrative Staff
Administrative staff are able to work in a variety of areas in Corrections Victoria. Entry level staff in Community Corrections are required in the business services areas of human resources, finance, executive services, and within Prisons in prison stores and prisoner property.
